Updating our previous article, Bullfrog Spas has officially released its new line of swim spas at the Pool and Spa Show this year in Dallas, TX. The new line is called the Bullfrog Swim Series and currently consists of two models;
Swim Series S150
- 94″ x 152″ x 52″ (12.5 feet)
- Two Pumps with electronic diverters that move water from the swim jets to the JetPaks
- 1,300 gallons capacity
- Seating Configuration (13 seats) – Bench seats, two lounger seats, cool-down seats, one exercise seat
- 4 JetPaks – located in the four corners of the swim spa
- Dual swim jets that are stacked
Swim Series S200
- 94″ x 204″ x 52″ (16.5 feet)
- Three Pumps with electronic diverters that move water from the swim jets to the JetPaks
- 2,000 gallons capacity
- Seating Configuration – bench seats, two lounger seats, one exercise seat
- 4 Swim Series JetPaks – located in the four corners of the swim spa
These new models were everything we were hoping for when our article came out last year with the exception of an interchangeable “Swim JetPak”. Unfortunately the swim jets are fixed and do not offer any of the customization that Bullfrog is known for, however, it’s possible that we see something like that in the future. They did come up with a vertically stacked swim jet design rather that horizontal that they believe delivers a better swim experience.
Bullfrog is anticipating deliveries of these new models to dealers sometime in 2022. We are excited to see them jumping into the every growing swim spa category.
Is Bullfrog Spas going to enter the swim spa fray? Short answer is “maybe”. At the International Pool and Spa show last November, Bullfrog Hot Tubs unveiled their beautiful and innovative new M Series hot tubs. At that time, there were rumors flying around that they were going to get into the red hot swim spa market. I will be the first to admit if Bullfrog did enter the swim spa market then it will likely be something the industry has never seen especially if they some how incorporate their signature “jetpak” technology. Having jetpaks in a swim spa would make for a very unique swim spa that offered customizable hydrotherapy seats. Furthermore, if the jetpak technology could somehow be incorporated into the swim current system then it would be even more revolutionary. Think of how many different types of swim jets could be swapped out in order to create a customizable current for swimmers of different skill levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced, competitive athletes, etc…). The best swim current technologies currently allow for adjustable flow swim currents but they can’t actually change the type of jets, the arrangement of the jets, number of swim jets, or the size of the swim jets. If Bullfrog was capable of such feat then they could make a real splash in the ever flourishing swim spa market.
I guess we will find out in the near future if such rumors are founded or not. We would love to see it come to fruition.
