Phoenix, Arizona based, Leslie’s Poolmart, Inc, the “The World’s Largest Retailer of Swimming Pool Supplies” has acquired Oregon Hot Tub Company . The swimming pool giant operates over 900 retail locations across the country with the acquisition of OHT which added 6 retail locations throughout the state of Oregon.
At this time no information has been made public as to what Leslie’s plans to do with the Oregon Hot Tub, however, Leslie’s has been known to enter new markets through acquisition buy buying independent, regional brick and mortar retailers as part of its growth strategy. This move appears to be more of the same. Just a year ago Leslie’s acquired Seattle based AquaQuip with 9 stores. This is exciting news for the pool and spa industry as consolidation continues on both the manufacturing side and retail side of the industry.
