Johnson City, Tennessee based LPI Industries is at it again buying up another hot tub manufacturer. This time it is Glendale, Arizona based Atera Spas. Founded in 1996, Atera is a smaller, more regional player with a strong presence in the Arizona market. Atera builds a complete line of hot tub and swim spas and are mostly known for their “AnyTemp” spas which feature both a heater and a spa chilling system enabling a hot tub temperature range of 62 degrees to 104 degrees despite ambient air temperature. In areas of the country where ambient temperatures can reach 100+ degrees for weeks or months on end the Atera AnyTemp feature is perfect for getting your hot tub or swim spa to that perfect temperature. It’s no wonder why LPI made the decision to acquire Atera as the acquisition comes with the patents for the chilling system which they can implement into their many other brands. LPI brands include Dr. Wellness Spas, Tranquility Spas, Lifestyle Series Spas, Water’s Edge Spas, Signature Spas, and Catalina Spas.
According to sources, our understanding is that LPI will continue to maintain the Atera Spas brand.
