One of the biggest stories of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year was the expansion of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa into new consumer products. New categories for voice services included smart home devices, TVs, tablets, cars, bathroom devices, lighting, headphones, kitchen appliances, pianos, and much more. All in all there is over 100 new applications for these voice experience products and devices (voice assistants).
Are hot tubs and swim spas next? Why not? Amazon’s soon to be released Super Bowl ad pokes fun at an “Alexa Fail” using a hot tub that looks like a huge echo dot (on purpose we assume). It’s likely just a matter of time before hot tubs get a voice assistant just like they got WiFi a few years ago. It’s nice to see that the hot tub industry is not getting left out of the technology revolution and that although a voice assistant in a hot tub is not a necessity it is both a luxury and a novelty that many consumer will enjoy.
